Lowery Family & Friends,
Wow! What a year. You have helped us to do some AMAZING things this past year at Lowery Elementary. Thank you for being a part of our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
PTO is about servant leadership. It is not a position of status and popularity, but instead, it is the desire to partner with your child's school, administrators, teachers, and staff in order to help make the school the best place that it can possibly be for all of the students. This is done in many different ways. Whether you sold a box of chocolate in the fall (or bought a bar), if you were able to attend any spirit night throughout the year, donated bottled water or wipes to a field day, donated money or brought items to a hospitality events, were able to be a WatchDOG for the day or a couple of hours, helped reshelve books in the library or sell books during the book fair, read a book to students or served as a mentor, you have impacted the students at this school. Because of your generosity, we have been able to send students on field trips for enhanced learning opportunities, purchased materials to help in the classroom, and much more.
It has been a privilege to serve as your PTO President the past four years. Things have changed a lot, but the devotion of the parents, administrators, teachers, and staff at Lowery Elementary to the students has not wavered. I'm excited for what the future holds! Kristy Cunningham will be serving as your PTO President for the upcoming school year. She and the Board are working diligently to plan and are always looking for new ideas and volunteers. Please take a few minutes to complete the Volunteer Interest Survey here letting them know where you might be willing to volunteer or help plan. If you have any questions about ways to get involved, please email connections@lowerypto.com.
As my children move on to middle school, Lowery will always be "my happy place". Thank you for all that you do to make Lowery Elementary such a great place and community for our kids.
Sincerely,
Kyla Brown
LoweryPTO President
